Hello,

I just bought Diablo 4 and would like to share my first impressions with you.
First of all, my major concern is that the game lacks navigation assistance.
Currently, we have to bring up the map, zoom in, and feel around to determine the proximity of the next objective to our location. It's tedious and currently only shows places we can walk to.
What's missing is a complete spatial navigation, similar to what we're accustomed to in traditional audio games. Several blind players have already raised this issue with Blizzard Support, and I learned from Superblindman on Mastodon that the developers are already planning to implement navigation assistance. Now it's up to us to provide feedback and formulate our wishes and best practice concepts.
The screen reader reads about 85 percent of in-game messages, although the screen layout sometimes requires a bit of tinkering.
Nearby containers are announced when we reach them, and pickup items on the ground play a sound when the function is enabled, allowing us to locate them in stereo.
I consider this game to be very well done, and I would be delighted if many of you participate in the discussion to collectively provide feedback and further advance accessibility.

Best regards,

Richard

Why You shouldn't be able to?

Because blizzard restricted it so from Russia as far as I know you don't even see the game itself when trying to buy.

Hey all. So, the long awaited Auto Nav Assist is coming!!! A public test is available to players of the game on PC. This coming Tuesday. You can download the PTR now, but, we can't access it's server till Tuesday. Be sure you go into your Battle.net app and go to the games tab. There should be a Diablo IV button I believe. Hit this. Then hit on Public Test Realm, Then hit install. It is about 18 or so gigs. Now, Once it is installed, this is now the default version of the game it will show with the play button. Tab to the versions button submenu. Hit it and chuse the live version and press enter. Now, the default is the live version. If anyone needs help with this process, let me know. It took a bit for me to figure it out. Lol.

Wow. Thanks for the news. Will this update also come to the xbox?

Yes, this coming Tuesday, the 25th. Tomorrow for me. And as far as I know, I think the PTR is just for PC. But, I could be wrong. From what I've seen though, it looks like PC only. Someone on AG.net said, if you have your XBox Account attached to your Battle.net one, you should be able to get it. This could only mean PC. I hate that as I feel that as much is tested on one device, the same should be applied for all other supported devices.

Sorry for reviving this topic but, is the nav assist feature on steam now?

Yes, the nav assist is there for sure. It has been around sense Season 5. We are going into season 7 now. We still don't have nav assist in dungeons because the assist feature depends on the visual line that is given when you track a quest or when you track an NPC in a city. The dungeons don't have this visual line as you have to explore dungeons to get to the objective at the end. But, it is doable, with pations. I really enjoy the game. It is quite fun!!!
