Group for Elten Sponsors

Yes, absolutely agreed. It's surprising but at the same time great, that we as a four can keep it all as a civilized discussion and we don't exaggerate needlessly. If everyone did so, this platform would be much better in my opinion.

@pajper
you are right, if needed a programmer can learn the basics of any language in a few days or even hours.
And this is not your problem that you have chosen ruby for the client.
for me it is strange just because i would choose another language for desktop app, but it was your choice and so okay, it works.
The problem is that elten really lacks some critical features.
even now, when i write this post i hear notifications about new posts. but i have to send my post or press escape and reopen the thread again to read new message. they are not loaded automaticaly and there is no refresh hotkey to load them by hand.

To be honest I've always tried to find such an option in fact in conferences itself, because I don't know if it's adequate to ban someone from the entire forum even if the person doesn't write anything there. It looks like as I stole some money from a local shop, and I'm banned from all the shops in the whole world because I committed a crime in a local shop in my small town. Isn't it a little bit nonsense? :)
-- (pajper):
By the way banning users in conferences is possible since 2.5. Just ban them in the group and done.
And if user is not a group member, you can add him/her and ban then.

And that's another problem we have to deal with - a specificity of the targeted group here. Many of Elten users are, let's call it elegantly, a bit immature, not to say childish, naive or not adapted to life. I strongly believe there should be a place in the Internet for such creatures. If Elten can be a sandbox for them to, let's name it directly, civilize them somehow, why not to hold it?
- Klatki – odpowiedziała. – Czekania za kratami, aż zmęczenie i starość każą się z nimi pogodzić, aż wszelka nadzieja wielkich czynów nie tylko przepadnie, lecz straci powab.

don't you think that this is a kind of crutch?
To ban someone from conference, ban him in a group or add to group and ban.
Looks like installing windows via installing linux, partitioning a disk for windows by hand and unpacking wim package from linux console using windows imagex via wine with nvda also installed in wine.
while windows has its own installation interface.

Yes, it's definitely strange. Not to mention if I ban someone from the conferences, he can create a new account without any efforts and come back, remember the User, Me01, Me02, Me03 etc. incident.

No, there shouldn't be a place intentionally for immatures. They, one way or another, need to grow up, to be adapted to the real life, otherwise they never learn. If we give them a place to act as they want, there are going to be even more people living with parents in their 40s, asking immature questions which an adequate person will never ever ask, but only because the poor inadequate doesn't know, or because he was segregated enough so he didn't need that many informations. The internet is for everyone, but everyone need to learn how to use it properly.

okay, here is my openion abbout this all.
sorry if my english is not the best.
pajper is making and programming elten since 9 years when i don't be wrong. and he has right now much things to do like other sayd here already, and he is not a god, he is a human. but I think (I don't know from where we should get guys to help), that the elten program neds more programmers. pajper can't look at everything, programm the pc app, the IOS app, fix bugs and so on, and then have still a real life, that's just to much for only a only person. that is the reason because we ned more programmer in my openion. I don't know from where get these. the thing I think abbout the sponsor groub is that this group is for sponsors there who can contact pajper quicly und with a quicly answer. but in my openion should in every official comunithy, so the polnish comunithy, the elten english comunithy and maybe also the german comunithy a be topic where everyone can get in contact with pajper. it should be a topic in wich are only will be posted when there are important things or questions or something, and pajper could see that then and not in the sponsor group, then when is reading randomly in the comunithys and finds a important thing or something. that's my idea.
bye.

I am in elten since one year and 4 months, and I also think that elten is in the last time a little bit more laggy as usually. I aren't a porogrammer or something, but I think that started since the voice post converting in text function is there.
#70 marchoffmann Archived
Yeah but even for me who didn't subscribe it's that. So I don't think that function matters.
#71 marchoffmann Archived
And agree with all previous posts from arctic here as well. The problem is, the fact that now people, not pointing at anyone, get mad at us or say that we said things we didn't actually say is proof of that we're saying is truth.
#72 rudolf
no, that's on server site I think?
#73 cyrmax
Yep, i also think so.
And please notice that voice recognition is a premium feature but suffer we all.
So we experience slower client and more lagging for paid users to have a cool feature.
Wonderfull, i think!

Changing the topic again. I think there is nothing wrong with accessibility features in any programme. And yes, I do go on fb from time to time, and let me tell you, the people on there are not very communicative. And I certainly don't come here for drama or to cause it. Even adults can be the childish ones at times. From what I've seen we can be our own worst enimy.
