Some people may know of this. I've been told by jake that dectalk is now open source.
The guy who runs this repo, https://www.github.com/dectalk/dectalk is 7coil, and stargo is also helping. 7coil's server has a discord server and dectalk is one of the channels.
It sounds kind of like 4.3, you can grab the latest builds from the actions, if you are logged in to github.

Well, still like the original sound better, but it's certainly interesting and since this is open source, it may be worked on.

i've herd that iOS 16, macOS 13, and iPadOS16 all support AUSpeechSynthesizer plugins, so basically an audio unit plugin that generates speech. wonder if DecTalk could be ported to the apple ecosystem.

you won't be able to interact with and learn from others until you know yourself inside and out, and i do.
