audio format

Good day. I have a question again. A year ago, I copieda lot of audiobooks to my sd-card. However, I made a mistake, because I pasted the audio tracks directly on my sd-card in the original format. Unfortunately, you can't play this kind of format in vlc, windows media player and Grove Music. Is there an media player that can play this kind of format? The convertor that I found only excepts only disks from the internal drive of my laptop and not from the sd-card. A problem is that my mum already salled a lot of those disks. So, is there a way to get this to play on my computer? I would appriciate your answers.

yeah what's the name of it. Also have you considered using a converter to convert it into a better format if possible?

Can you not copy those audio books somewhere on your computer to be able to convert them with that app that accepts files on one of your computer's drives?

The format is .cda audiofile. And yes, I tryed to convert it with convertio. However, it gave an error. Can't determine Type of the Input File [MIME: application/octet-stream]

you could also try audacity. Though tbh I never heard about that format

Try GoldWave's CD reader if you have it. My laptop's DVD reader is broken for a long time and I have never had the chance to use that feature of GoldWave, so won't be able to help with it and don't even know if it will work and be useful.

.cda is not an audio file, it's just a list of pointers to the location of the individual tracks on the CD
You won't be able to extract any audio data from that file.
If you want to be sure, just check the size of the files, it shouldn't be bigger than a few bytes.

.cda stands for CD Audio. I think I've seen some that were 28 bytes in size. If you don't have the original CDs they came from you're screwed.

Welp, I don't have the original books anymore. I have never tryed the cd-reader in Goldwafe since I don't have that, but I think that won't work eather. Well, thanks anyway.
