Hi. I need some help. I want to edit audio. Unfortunately i don't know how. I tried it with a german program called easy wave. But that is pritty bad to handle and the mixer is not working. I want to make tts scatches with that so that is no choice. I hurd something about audacity is working, but how can i gett that to work or are there better ways? Greatings karmienmedias.

I tried audacity. Had no luck with it. I have a lot of success with reaper, which is technically shareware, but the demo is functionally unlimited, so it is free. If you're a jaws user, samplitude with it's free scripts is also an option, but it's quite costly. Try sound forge as well.

no, i only want to do basic cutting and maybe insert something. The problem with the other program i already mentioned is that if i insert a sound that kills all other sounds and the mixer can only mix from the beginning on.

and, it seams that you can only open reaper project files. But the mp3 file is already there.

I use Studio Recorder for most of my limited audio editing skills. I could never use Goldwave for that, though I do use its batch converter to convert multiple files to another format. Sound Forge has the best reverbs and such. Audacity is less accessible than it has been in the past. I still like playing with that when I want a quick and dirty multiple track thing. I made a nice applause section for myself once, smiles.

Wave pad from NCH Software is the best one ever when it comes to that. Just hold the Shift key to select the audio you'd like to modify as you're playing, and release it to finish the selection. Then press delete to delete it, and the usual cut, copy and paste functions also work. Unfortunately, the program is shareware, however there's a demo with unlimited functionality. After expiration you can use it with limits, but it doesn't even allow saving your work then. So, if you have the money to buy the masters edition, do it. I unfortunately haven't. And for mixing multiple clips, mix pad, also from the same company, works very well.

Studio Recorder provides constant feedback when moving over sound pixels, so I find it much easier to use than something which doesn't provide that kind of feedback. If I'm unsure about where audio cuts in or out, the scrub feature is ideal for that, in my experience. Of course, it isn't free, oh well.

is there a direct link to wave pad? I have edited many files with audacity but it's been a year, I would rather try it again myself before I try to answer your question. Usually, you select things with left and right brackets.

Actualy I found wave pad. Could you please tell me how I can make 5 files in one? I mean, a story in 5 episodes for example?

#15

Aha. Then I tried what I did in gold wave. opening the files one by one and py and cut then save it with another name. It seems to have worked. Not bad at al this programme

Hello everyone,

WavePad isn't accessible me.

Best regards,

Someone can send me the Studio Recorder?
Thanks.

Studio Recorder is available for purchase at
http://www.aph.org/

It isn't cheap though. One must pay a price for accessibility I reckon, and the audio pixeling is wonderful. It is a bit skimpy on affects, effects, never sure of the right word, but I have Goldwave and Sound Forge for those.

The Studio Recorder isn't good, do you say that?

Hello everyone. I hope some one can help me with this. I had installed wave pad, which claimed to be free but after a while, I found out it was only a demo. I'm not buying softwares when I can have the same free of charge. Therefore, how do I remove the beginning of an audio file with audacity? I knew it but forgot. What I actually want to do is removing the screen reader talking before a radio drama. I know there's a combinason of short cuts but I fogot which ones
