Hello! My native language is hungarian, I can speak english and a little bit of german, although I'm learning it for 3 years but I feel like I know nothing at all. I'd like to learn polish, it's my favourite language. I tried to learn czech with Duolingo but it just didn't work. I guess I'll pick up polish at university, but I just, can't wait. :D

Huh well, seems noone of us have luck with german :D and yeah, one more thing which was weird for me in russian, is that you have nothing like am, is or are. I mean, if you wanna say I am then you say a simple я without a second part. That's kinda hard to get used to :D and I remember my previous message here, about that I might pick up polish at university, that slightly changed to russian, but I'll still have a chance to learn that as well.

Well, yeah that's true about Russian. I tryed to look for something like german audiobooks on youtube and found one russian video what to listen to for beginners like we are. Hope that will move my knowledge of this language forward :)

Oh, that's great, at least you can practise then :D the thing is that for me, german sounds so agressive and even if I have quite a good language sense, it sounds too harsh and rough for me :D

My native language is Trinidad Creole english. I know a fair bit of spanish, because Trinidad has a high Venezuelan population, and we have to do it in school. I want to learn German, Russian, and klingon. I now understand why Russians say, I eat pizza in house after I cme from hospital. They don't have the and those things. Pretty interesting. I only wanna learn German so one day I can move to Germany to study engineering, and to cuss my stupid classmates. Russian for that purpose as well. I also wanna check the German community as well.

I am studying Russian language and literature and Geran in university. Turkish is my native langauge. Ther artikels in German and the cases in Russian confuse me to no end. After two years studying Russian, my teacher tells me that I have still mistakes with the cases in Russian, how sad! :(
Anyway, I am interested in Bulgarian, Macedonian and Korean. I know some Bulgarian and Macedonian, but very basic and simple sentences, because I didn't have the chance to learn them with a teacher.
Anyway, I wrote so long! Thanks for reading and see you all!

Sometimes Google translate, but mostly I am preferring to talk with native speaker.
I know some people, which wants to learn Slovak via Google translate.
But I have a question. Also, what do You think?
Is It possible to learn language by listening songs in this languages?
Maybe conversation is starting point, but to know lot of words It will be good to read news or listen songs. For example I have started to learn also Polish language, because Polish is similar to Slovak.

I think that you cannot learn any language by listening to songs, at least when you are an absolute beginner. When you are intermediate, you can start listening to songs and the news to emprove that language, though news will be, in my opinion, more useful than songs.
