How to properly use Markdown in blog posts?
Back to Questions and Answers.#1 radiorobbe
Hello,
I'm trying to use Markdown tags to create headings in blog posts such as ## for second heading level. This works, however only for viewing in the Elten client. If I open my blog URL in the browser, all headings are gone and I only can see the Markdown tags. Opening the post directly in the WordPress editor I can see that the text looks like one big paragraph, there are no spaces between headings. After correcting this manually the post looks as intended. Apart from using HTML code, how can I tell Elten to use the right paragraph and headings?
Thanks
Steffen

Hi,
When opening the Elten blog editor, navigate to the "Post" textbox. In here, press ALT, and go with down arrow till you reach "Format"

Hi,
either this is because we are using different Elten versions or this menu is a paid feature. Pressing Alt and then down arrow in the text box brings up the usual quick actions menu, but no formating options there. I've also checked if something is hidden in my quick actions.

Thats regrettable, since Markdown has become very popular in many communities and content management systems. But thanks anyway.
