I wonder why we can't play the files then directly by clicking on play here. That is what I meant.

Okay, I'm going to try converting to see if I can convert the songs I did on my Casio keyboard because when I save it onto the USB, on the keyboard, I can only save to two extensions. I can't save it to MP3 or AUC. It can only just be an SMF or RRG. That's the only extension that the Casio keyboard has. I'm thinking maybe if I tried converting this file I did to AUC or something, maybe it will play. I'm not sure, but I can try. So, yup.

All the songs that I did on the Casio keyboard are in ogg files.

Collectively replying to the posts, at least those who do make sense and those I consider constructive rather than aimed solely at discrediting my effort and the results I've got, as their sender usually tries to. I just want to tell their sender to keep in mind that what BGT lets me do is only to play and stop certain sounds when certain keys are pressed or released. You can't even adjust the velocity so comparing that piece of BGT code with VST plug-ins is purposefully exaggerated and unreasonable.
So how the notes stop when I release the keys is not my problem, and as far as I know, not something I can fix. It's just BGT's stop command that I used and I don't really think I could've made the sounds stop in any other way. And I don't still know what clarinet you're talking about but it's the samples that can be improved rather than the code. So I may work on that.

so here is how to play MIDI files in Elton if you don't have it yet get the file manager from the program's menu then if you don't have one download a MIDI file from somewhere including Elton you can download a MIDI file you can save a MIDI file and open it in the program manager sorry in the file manager open it in the file manager then the system will prompt you to download a sound font to play MIDI and that works I've just done it I had the program the file manager before but not the sound form and I was wondering why Elton play why it wouldn't want me to download from the forum you have to save a file and and try try to use the manager the file manager from there I haven't actually played stuff that was posted here in MIDI from there yet but I have been able to play the file I downloaded so I'm gonna try this and if it doesn't work I'll let you know because I think it does work you you

If I have to save the file in any case then I would use FileExplorer to navigate to the file and play it instead, which basically works similar to Elten's file manager. It's a shame we can't directly play MIDI songs on here. By the way, what is this sound font that Elten downloads? Can I just not browse for one on my computer and command Elten to use it?

It has to be named a certain way, but you could copy one you have and rename it to soundfont.sf2 and put it in %appdata%\elten\extras.

By the way, I did download the soundfont to get the answer to my question straight ahead and then realized that it is now possible to directly play MIDI songs without saving them just by hitting Enter on them and choosing Play.

To post 423, just be patient. It takes a few seconds to start.

Me and my friends made Espeak sing. It is a very silly greek song that we created for fun but we did manage to actually make ESpeak sing
The blind Conlanger

I could play MIDI files on Elton no problem and I have a question because I convert the MIDI files I did on my keyboard to an AUG file does it still need to require the sound font in order to play these files or just converts it to an audio file so yeah

And to post 436, that's actually a pretty good song. What I do to like to play a MIDI file is I just got some files in the internet and then I use file manager and then it asks me to, if I want to install the sound font and I press yes on it and now it's possible for me to play these files. I agree on if, when if you're on the form and if you press play, it will ask you to install the sound font right away. That will be nice. So yep.

George, as far as I know, conversion from MIDI to audio is already done using soundfonts, just as taking the MIDI data and then converting it to audio when playing MIDI songs. So I think I would be right to say that you are already converting them when you play them. So yes, you should need a soundfont to convert a MIDI file to any other audio format.

To post 429, thanks for the explanation, I totally understand now that this is beyond your control with the tools you use. It's only until now that I have read your entire response. And I was referring to post 410 when talking about the clarinet. The sound itself is fine, but then there's the problem you have now elaborated on, which, as I said, am very thankful for.
I should add though that BGT's not the way to go if you want to create something with midi that is meant to sound as realistic as possible. But it's certainly very original of you to do so, not sure if anyone else used a game toolkit for creating music.

@ Mohammad and his friends, god job guys, although I think I understand 1 word of it, but still, keep up the good work. :) :)

#420

well George, that is not the correct harmony for it.
