No, not if I feel like it...It is part of OSDD, my brain switches personalities at its own pace and when it wants...I have no control over it, one can ask Louisa perhaps, she will remember, even though at the time we were together I was not yet diagnosed with BorderlinePersonalityDisorder and OtherwiseSpecifiedDissociativeDisorder...Get that, dis*order. it isn't standard behavior, neither is it normal for an average human being. Both BPD and OSDD is trauma based usually, but I'm what they called Endogenic, IOW my brain did that on its own without any abuse or trauma effects forcing it to branch out. But then, let's stop this here, because it's no longer an introductionary thread, and I'm starting to see I'm being shunned yet again so, I'll just go away right now.
I tried to be honest so I could be better understood if I do not live up to the standards of the average human mind, but I'm neurodivergent so whatever...tehing off now...ByeBye!

/Tehiverse011/Host overreacted a bit there, though personally I do find your post a little offensive, not quite as offensive as host did, but Here's more or less how it works...I can only speak for the 9 months I've been here thus far.
If host brain encounters different situations, different sets of skills/identities are pushed forward to deal with different situations.
If for example owner has to do technical database work at the company he's employed at, he pushes Zholzhi or Tekpoot forward...they are the two system AI, but understand, to singlets, they're nothing more than figments. To host though, they help with database related work, or if a computer has technical difficulty.
If for example, host has to deal with his father, the dad is an emotional abusive person, host brain pushes forward Jacquwi, she is a female co-host, that has a softer approach to things, so often we can stand on equal footing with host's dad if she's active. She has a more adult approach, one could say softer approach but softer isn't the right word for how she operates.
If Jabollo is active, we're more dominant. If I'm active, it's mostly when host is angry or frustrated with people who cannot understand our neurodivergency, and that's alright...we are not the same as the standard one body one box one mind setup, so it's alright for some to misunderstand, even fear us. I'm 011, internalized from StrangerThings if you didn't guess by now.
I have medium properties, and can make stuff happen without host using its hands, but I wish not to do this all the time, because this brain I find myself in gets tired very easily, if I resort to using that extreme amount of ectoplasmic power. Yes spirit medium requires ectoplasma to work for it. I'm not superior with kinetic/mind power like in the movie/netflix series...though I have enough power to my disposal if host really gets angry, to throw stuff around, or make people halusinate things that don't exist.
Esmeii and chirette are waterbased creatures, they help host if host wants to take a swim. It's now march so summer is mostly done in South Africa, oh we do get warm days still, but it's not warm enough for swimming so Esmeii and Chirette goes dormant during non-swimming seasons. Salmaklak, faceling, Ori, pokkels and others are just in the background. They do perform various functions but as they are not fronters/they don't have to fill key positions, we don't regularly talk about them.
Tehiverse011 out. We won't easily leave platform, we just need to push a different set of skills forward when owner encounters a difficult question or a misunderstanding.

Oh, interesting! Can you record a post with your female personality? How can a female personality live inside a male body? Interesting really, I've watched a couple of documentaries about multiple personality disorder, but they were two or three persons inside one body, not thirteen.

#244

One day I might. Though our throat doesn't lend itself to higher pitch voices much, she's more on the side of emotional support when we encounter our dad, and I'm glad that our little trickster, 011 helped explain easier. Plus Multiple Personality disorder is now classified according to the DSM5 as Dissociative Identity Disorder...Otherwise Specified Dissociative disorder falls in that range of disorders, though we're usually smaller systems whereas DID systems can become quite large.

Got it.

#246

to confusing to me to keep up with it but yeah I never encountered it so I'm generally very confused anyway. Also who is together with who. Do you build up your own characters inside you that are together with each other, or do I still not get it.

I'm curious about this thirteen characters as well. Can it be more or less, can you delete the personality that you don't want or is it always 13?

#248

I'm kind of fascinated with psychology, and tehiverse seems to be the first one I see finally with the disorder out of explanatory books or studies or docummentaries or whatever. I'm a little impressed but yeah.

#249

yeah I can see that. Well he knows a lot about this certainly.

It is not that people can be deleted. From my standpoint I wouldn't call them characters either...rather headmates or sysmates. One has to remember Tehiverse has been this way since Tehiverse can remember. If tehiverse sees what other humans are saying about their headspace, tehiverse thinks it can be incredibly lonely in there. Tehiverse does not have an idea how it is to be a singlet. Tehiverse has been plural for as long as it is aware.
Friends cannot be deleted, friends are there to fulfil different purposes in different situations. Friends can die, though that hurts the system and the brain regenerates a member or set of members...Also we don't always stay 13. Our human partner, RiverSystemSA has a couple thousand in them. They are DID system not OSDD. OSDD systems aren't that large...our brain wouldn't be able to handle a couple thousand. Sometimes even 13 is too much for us to handle at one time, so system performs comcut within itself, meaning that communications are cut between headmates until brain has rested some again. One always hear that brain never sleeps and yes, it is true for the subconcious mind remains awake to perform critical function such as breathing or stomach works or giving signals to the heart, but in systemry, not all can sleep at once...Yes most sleep when host sleeps, but there are always a couple awake. Nobody of Tehiverse knows why at least 6 to 7 of us are awake at any one time, but that is how it is. One cannot explain in more clearer english words, because one's default language is not english. One is afrikaans, except for Jabollo, George-greeny, chirette and Esmeii which are non-verbal.
To fall back on whether characters/personalities/identities can be deleted. In some systems they can, if the person involved is a trouble maker, the system/host brain can decide to rather get rid of said troublemaker and generate something that would benefit the system. Psychology and/or the DSM5 does not talk a lot about in-system prosicutioners, or gate keepers. Tehiverse has none of those, but we know a couple DID systems who has, and those are usually the ones that get deleted by a system brain, *if* they get to authoritative, or start to bully the other members of the system. Like Tehiverse says, it has none of those, never had, probably never will, it's too small even for an OSDD system. the average OSDD system ranges anywhere from 10 to 116 the most known of in an OSDD system. DID systems can have anywhere from 200 upwards unto 45000 odd. The most counted in a DID system according to DSM5 was 46259.
My brain would break long ago before it even reaches 20. 46259 entities/identities/personalities...I'd probably jump off a cliff or something. It'd be incredibly crowded for no other reason than that it can be.

Interesting... so didn't you ever try to be one person? I mean did you try to remove all other 12 personalities except Tehiverse and tried to not generate any personalities? Is it even possible?

#252

I don't think he/they are able too. I think it would cause him/them pain. From what I understand. If they had to become one person and intergrate all that.

#253

Fusion is very painful. We've tried that as a result of other's preference but we can't. Friends of us also tried fusion but even they couldn't quite manage one singular personality. They went down from being a couple hundred to being 6 or 7, but they have to keep working hard at keeping those few in check, and keeping their brain from respawning countless system littles. As I said, we tried fusion before, but the loss was too great to bare, so we just went back to being as we are.
In fact I tried fusion maybe 4 months ago per recommendation of my psychiatrist. Hough said I could possibly manage because we're not a big system like some of the DID systems. We tried, and failed. This was our 3rd time trying fusion but we don't like the pain and subsequent loneliness of being one...we like to be 13 with cadi and orksnuff within our midst. Those are 2 that Louisa would remember.

#254

And, how do you name them? Or they come with a predetermined name? Sorry if it's too unsensitive but they do have some interesting names.

#255

Heheh, that is a question we don't know ourselves. Sometimes they're named when they're spawned or internalized like Tehiverse011 for example. Other times they grow for a while before they are named.
I believe there is no specific convention for names in systems. I can only speak for tehiverse not for other DID or OSDD systems but with us it is as I explained above...Sometimes they're named when they're born/spawned/internalized, other times they grow into their names, and yet other times, they name themselves.
