I just want every one of my detractors clammering for my ban to know I'm going to get away with my perceived transgressions. Your indignation means nothing.

Wtf? Who wanted to ban you and why does it have anything to do with this topic? Ultimately it's not the end of the world that you like to talk shit, people did and are going to continue doing so till humanity stop existing, if it does.

There are a few people who want me banned because of the views I've expressed in this thread.

#124

Heh. I'm surprised no one wants me banned. Not yet, anyway. Course if they did I'd just screw off so they wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

You don't say things like it's not immoral to deny the holocaust or repeal the civil rights act.

I do think it's telling that you were attacked for the holocaust thing, which you said you don't support, and not the Civil Rights Act thing, which you do support, all while saying Americans are ignorant. I'd argue the latter is far worse than the former, especially as someone of an immigrant background and who is disabled.
Another Hot Take.
Europeans are far more snobby, arrogant and ignorant when it comes to Americans. Yes, Europeans will be more educated in things like the world wars and classical history, but I'd argue the average American is significantly more humble and has a childlike whimzy when it comes to other cultures.
Europeans in general are also more overtly racist than Americans. Look at the Republican Party's Platform, then compare it to the AFD, National Rally or Restore Britain. Look at the performance of these parties in Europe, then look at American politicians who espouse similar views and their performance. Europeans are way more unjustifiably smug and it's sickening.
Another hot take.
Well not really, but still.
The Holocaust, while advertised as a uniquely awful tragedy doesn't matter to most of the World. Because the rest of us have suffered in significantly more horrendous and tragic ways which last to this day. I think this thread is a perfect example of this. Like, if you showed this thread to anyone outside Europe, they literally wouldn't be nowhere as outraged because it just isn't that big a deal.
I'm not saying the Holocaust wasn't a truly awful event, I'm just saying that the rest of us don't put that much brainpower into it because we have other things to focus on.
All that I survey, I could easily destroy. From time to time, it is important to remind these small creatures of the true extent of my power.

Yeah the Euros here might not know just how radioactive opposing the CRA is in the US.

My most controversial take would be that Eugenics might not be the worst Idea that humanity had.

#129

True, I don't. Or at least, I have not done so here or on other platforms such as mastodon. But that doesn't really mean much. Hypothetically, I could very well hold this belief and simply not say anything about it (in all actuality I don't hold such beliefs, however.) I take your point though.

Americans being humble is the biggest joke I've ever heard.
Americans always put themselves first and think they're superior.

Gotta say it, this seems to be pretty accurate. And I *am* an American. Go figure.

At least I have not yet seen any actual american being different. With actual I mean born and raised there.

It really depends on the American. Some are and some aren't humble. I've seen very few Europeans who are humble. I've seen even fewer who are friendly.

To be clear, it's not that we're generalising here. We're talking about a large portion of society and what we see in the media, for example. There are exceptions everywhere and it would be unfair to state otherwise.

Americans are definitely not humble, but imo they are more so than Europeans.
Reading this thread and you'll see what I mean. There's a smug sense of superiority directed at Americans for not knowing about a European thing, but little care when the ignorance flows from the other side of the Atlantic.

me personally I don't think it is, but it is very sad when you have to fine tune a song and make like 100 gens because it is so generic

but what I do hate about AI in general is that companies like to shove it down everyone's throats. Because realistically who uses chatbots for 90% of things? And I'm not saying that AI is very bad, but it's being misused more times than not.

The only thing I rate Suno for is being able to make music, which I otherwise wouldn't be able to make. Like stupid parodies in genres I don't have any experiences with.
