I recommend Blindgram, using it myself for some time now and can say it has a very comfortable interface, and frequent updates, addressing issues and suggestions made by the users.
You might have to change the name of the app, since to my knowledge there'salso an app called Blindgram for phones and it's paid. If this one if the same, thanks but no thanks, easygram or unigram is doing just fine. If this is something else though, it's a bit comfusing for other users who know about the other paid app.

Apart of that, it's like asking someone who has built a house to build a car now. Completely diffrent from each other in archetecture, and quite frankly, kinda rude.
Well... I would argue. Then how can you prevent the app to lose focus after pressing windows plus dot for emoticons? How do you prevent the app from lagging like mad, even on high-end devices? It's not inaccessible, it's just very, very clunky. It has no message markers. It has no headings. No reliable ways to read more spammy groups. Search is laggy.

Yeah IDK. I just used windows+period to pull up the emoji keyboard and all I had to do to regain focus was hit tab. The search feature works fine now and Unigram doesn't have the other things you talked about either.

Except for the fact that Unigram isn't a web app, whatsapp is.

As far as I'm aware, Meta doesn't allow developers to use WhatsApp's API's like Telegram, so an accessible version of WhatsApp would just be a frontend to another frontend.
with messenger yes, with whatsapp I'm still digging. there are whatsapp and unofficial desktop whatsapp clients, and not only one, so they are interacting with whatsapp client commands in some way, whether it's api, scrapping the web, or accessing it through some ways of some cloud API. I still don't know much about it. so guys, I'm not sure really whether it's possible (and whether my programming knowledge would allow to integrate it into my product), but I'll try my best.
Everyone says it's bad on low end hardware, but my little laptop I use for travel with an Intel N150 and 12 GB of ram does it just fine, except it takes a while to load when the thing first starts, but otherwise it's honestly alright.
And they scream, the worst things in life come free to us.
