What exactly is your stance on Trump and why?

Did you see we got swept in Iran?

Biden pulled out of Afghanistan and left a lot of our equipment there, also dooming some Americans left there.

Trump has definitely lost his way and I'm no Trump backer.

Ok, so not to be one of those "you can't trust mainstream news anymore" people, but do we (people not living in the US) really know who was better or worse?
We don't know anything other than what the news in our countries tells us, except for chatting with other Americans on various platforms.
And from what I hear on Mastodon (and I'd consider myself not to be in any particular political bubble or anything), whenever my typical tech posters talk about him, it seems rather negative and upset. Besides, I've never seen any of them complain that hard about Biden back then.
I don't think Trump is suitable, for many reasons. One of them is that the guy is fucking 80 years old. Like, bro, when are we finally going to introduce an upper age limit for politicians?
Someone who's maybe got 10 or 20 years left on this earth is supposed to decide about the future of people who will spend most of their lives in a world where he's long dead and won't care anymore.
But we have the same problem here in Germany, in my opinion, at least with the chancellors.
I think some stances are way over the top and just useless. I've heard people say it would've been better if he got shot back then, and I can't agree.
But let's be honest, what good has that guy actually done for the USA? Tell me one single thing.
There is non.

the issue I have with the mainstream media here is that its so bias, They're running constant segments on Trump's age and cognitive fitness—which, fine, I'm not a fan of the guy either, but not for the reasons you mite think, but they barely touched Biden's visible decline while he was actually in office. The man fell on stairs multiple times, fell on stage at the Air Force Academy, and had that moment in Vietnam where he literally said 'I'm going to go to bed' during a press conference before staff rushed to end it, Then he leaves office and suddenly we find out he has aggressive Stage 4 prostate cancer, And the media loves to make daily life in America sound like some dystopian nightmare when most people are just living their lives just fine

Inflation alone was really bad under Biden, but yeah. I guess oil prices are still bad due to Trump's stupid Iranian war thing.

That war was an absolute catastrophy that should have never happened.

@ 23 I guess we two should better do the same. It's so surprising what of a different picture you often get when you look at people's behavior in not political contexts.
As for my opinion on the actual topic, well, I never liked trump, even before the iranian war. but I need to agree that the Iranian war is definitely worth huge protests. I don't have the mental power of organizing something like that though.
I will be now very honest here, I absolutely don't understand where his claim about people eating other people's pets in springfield comes from.
I know, other people will be like, there's nothing to understand about it, and I get the point. But I ask myself, where is the critical thinking? Are all people from abroad really so bad? imagining I'm someone who is not safe at all in my country, and therefore traveling to somewhere safer, being told: "F*ck off stupid foreigner, this is our country!" This is how calls for mass deportation read to me, and I find that absolutely immoral.

At the time that claim was made it sounded to me like an excuse to justify deporting haitians on mass. As if we need any justification apart from them being from Haiti to deport them on mass.
