tweesecake, what do yu all think of it

this is where we can talk about tweese cake. Personally I love it. its much better and less laggy then unigram which sucks, sure unigram has more features, and I do use it if i need to use those features but tweese is very simple to use for telegram. mastadon also works well wit it. I have not played around with the file explorer and stuff but in general tweese is nice imo. what do you all think of it.

I use TC only for mastodon, that's all I gotta say.

As do I, honestly I find Unigram better than it's Telegram integration. It's quite allright, but they're doing a rewrite of it at the moment and I'm excited if that is gonna be even cooler. They apparently want to add more features.

My only problem is I don't like the most recent chat being at the top. And a lot of the controls seems really convoluted and unnecessary compard to Unigram. But I know a lot of people swear by it

same, i also only sue it for mastodon, it works grate for that

I use Unigram, but am considering migrating to Tweese Cake. However I don't really know what to expect and why even bother, has anyone had the same experience? What convinced you, or what was your impression of it after you moved?

it depends on what you need :
If you just need chatting like text, voice messages, group chats, and doomscrolling, it's okay using tweesecake.
However if you need reactions on messages, calls, and almost all features that telegram provides, I'd prefer unigram.
For me unigram is the best choice for now, however it has some strange bugs and they are coming up suddenly.
For example bug with voice messages -- sometimes you won't be able to record a voice message, and you gotta restart the app.

tweesecake has a limited amount of features, you won't be able just to react to message, and this is my red flag :D.

doesn't it's masto servers fry themselves a lot in some cases?

I use the Mac Version now. It's a lot similar to windows other than shortcuts associated with ctrl. Plus, it's better using that than some trashy website. For Masto that is, I couldn't care less about telegram. Every needed mastodon feature is there.

Na, not every needed. Lists and filters would be kinda nice at some point. But yeah just use Unigram for Telegram, afaik it's going to be removed for time being when the new version comes out, though I must say it was nice and useful time to time indeed.

Correction: Every needed feature for my part, I could be wrong, after all it's a beta still apparently and now that they rewrite it, maybe we'll get a better cake one day.
Other than that, I also make use of it's explorer session on Mac, it's actually really nice and consistent even with letter nav to navigate, possibly better than finder. I'll need to get used to both, though. Which surely happens in its time. What I like is that, in windows terms, ctrl+shift+o opens files in twececake directly. Audio files, for example, start playback directly so I don't need to rely on Apple Music, which is a bit silly to bother me when just playing normal files, or the previewing thing in finder with space. Which works too, and honestly, finder might just be better than explorer on windows, but it's good to have this alternative, which also makes those files play in an instant.

Not really. It was just kinda ironic considering how much you like to go into bashing mode these days.

I don't know, I love Keychron keyboards, have a K2 myself. It never double-registers letters.

I have the q6max, it seems to be a common issue with these.

Especially when one doesn't proofread.
