new personal assistant for windows
Wróć do Computers and Technology#1 Krisi
Hi all! So i was bored, and well, i was like, let's make something! And i decided to make a personal asistant! It is still in beta, but it has a lot of functions like sending messages to telegram, receiving messages from telegram, playing stuf from youtube, and i think that's it. If you want me to add some extra features, let me know!

bro, you didn't even give a link to it for people to try. What you're doing is hiping it up, but please provide any sort of link.
#3 ArcticMoon
He's coding it with gemini and doesn't even listen to people who try to teach him personally. Giving the program Telegram credentials is a security risk though, but ok.

wow. fucking really? you don't even give a link to the program, and not only that, but you give a link to a video to a program you coded with AI, and not even do you give the link to the video you give the link to your channel
#5 ArcticMoon
To be fair with him, the link is his signature.

OK I can agree with yall on this, he needs to actually give a link or if its not ready yet, say that its being worked on.

I honestly agree on your point, though it depends on how you store those credentials.
For example, there are ways to encrypt them, one of the easiest ways is to use windows credential manager to encrypt your data. This depends on the developer, if he's even aware of those stuff in programming, But i don't think so. The post doesn't look really professional from a developer. No, I'm not criticizing him, I'm only frustrated because he was like, ok, let's make something. and then where is the link? Lol
Also he said a lot of features, but only 2 were given.
As for coding with gemini, Gemini can be as frustrating or as helpful as you want it to be, and depending on your knowledge and how you use it. I won't say something more though. But many people just open AI studio and, hey gemini, i want to make an application about something, give me the full code. rofl.

It is, a, beta! Would you like to see a beta of a buggy program? To be honest, i would not want to see a beta program witch is full of bugs!

Then don’t post something here if you’re not willing to show it, or at least be clear enough to mention that the link won’t be shared but you still want the community to follow your project.
#10 ferre
fully agree!
#11 Jokyboy129
I have to agree with some of your points, posting a program without giving a link is just nonsense, but what is so bad about an AI coded app? And yeah, a beta is here to have bugs.
#12 diamondStar
Then why do you post it here if it has bugs and in beta? Honestly i'm a one who likes to try beta apps and find bugs, so no, not everyone doesn't like them. Or just be clear that this is a beta for now. :)

isn't a beta program here for feedback regarding bugs? In my opinion that is. Betas are here to give feedback about bugs and other issues, no?
#14 ArcticMoon
Yeah, he's talking about alpha, not beta at all. Saw this thing since he asked for help, but most of the commands aren't even recognized due to speech recognition being very weak and ineffective.

I mean, coming soon, i am working on this all knight, but yeah i have to fix the speech recognition lol.

How is it a security risc? Do you now even think AI is trying to hurt us alreaddy? Also, the "He's coding it with gemini" statement sounds kinda salty. Didn't you vibe-code Powerlang yourself too? I'm not saying vibe coding can't be useful, but unless you didn't mean it that way that kinda seems like a bit of dubble standards.

I did, I just know how to prompt :D

wait, wait, wait. You're saying you're working on this all night? Do you mean, gemini is working for me all night? You didn't even say that it was made with gemini. And that, is a huge no for me. Someone else literally had to tell everyone it was made using gemini. I don't have any sort of problem with people coding using gemini, but not saying that it's made with gemini is in my opinion, a big no..
I said a lot of gemini in my post, I know.

I don't think he even knows python so that might be why. I'm guessing even the apple swift programming language is also hard as well?
#20 rudolf
AI apps work good too. Also, you still work as it mostly involves a bit of prompting which - admitted - is not as tough as coding itself, but still can take a while to get proper results from.
