Oof. I feel like reaper is kinda a pain to get into, while abletons UI right out of the box really, is super intuitive. And now that the access ableton podcast exists... Well, got a pretty easy start to it. Not to mention, it has at least a cor library to mess around with, while reaper comes with nothing other than those weird tones, whatever one might choose to call them. Which, I shouldn't bring this up here but in the other topic instead but, just now that we're at it. What kinda plugins do yall use for what purposes? Drums, pianos etc, the accessible stuff.

Don't know. For me, ableton is mor dificult than reaper. When in reaper I have tracks, in ableton I don't understand how work with session view. And for me, I have started from reaper and I'm not going to use another program.

Session view is some sort of looping view. I would use aragement view for songs instead.

Anyway here's something I made within like 2 hours.

It could take some mixing I guess but over all not so bad? Did you make the drums on your own or?

rudolf

Do you mean the percussion loop?

Oh so it is a loop? No problem with it at all, was just interested.

I do have to say the bass is kinda off though NGL but it sounds something like techno.

Nah this is more like Phonk. Or at least designed to be like it. Although yeah the loop sounds more like techno. Also a small tip, the drum and bass are reduced to be less bassy and impactish by Elten's player, so I recommend to download the .mp3 file and playing it with the media player to get the full experience.

@rudolf, do you have relletive pitch? Just curious. Some people say I have perfect pitch, but sometimes I can't discern between major and minor keys when it comes to scales. The same goes for sharp notes. If it's all major notes, I can usually do fine with recognizeing them.

Perfect pitch can be both a blessing and a curse. I have it and so does my younger brother.

Can you give an example for a curse? Don't really see any.

Good question.
Actualy I have one. When you're in church, listening to your worship band which isn't really the best, from the youth that is, and you notice every single note that is off, or when the bass plays a more basic note than the piano, etc. It's super distracting.

Exactly! People like stuff and I just say, yuck, and they don't understand why I don't like this or that.

Ugh, good there's someone relating to this at least, lol.
Also norwegians exagerate a lot, so everytime after that the leader would send something like, yall were so good! It was great performing! Bla bla into the group and I'd just go ehh. Yeah... Done yet?

My mom would always be like, Oh my god my son has perfect pitch! She would go on and on about it as if I'm the only one in the family who has it, and I'm like bruh it's not anything to be excited about.
