Windows plus space switches the keyboard. Why should I switch away from English if that was supposed to be the only working one. No reason to act all silly about it yall who just rofl around.
-- (thespyde):
Windows plus space or shift alt, wow, you're lazy! Plus you can change it easily enough. Oh well, keep on griping, sir.

I thought you were still on German. Rock on.
#43 Jonathan Konto zarchiwizowane
No, lmfao. The point is it works no matter which keyboard, but dude just remap it. It's done in less than 10 seconds.

If i know this wouldn't work for layouts other than english US I wouldn't have put this shortcut key. But sadly I didn't expect it.
Just unexpected stuff could happen in programming, And as we said several times remapping a shortcut key doesn't really take 10 seconds of your precious time.
#45 marchoffmann
Just do it in the next update, then no one can be bothered with it no more.
#46 diamondStar
I will do it for sure.

This is cool Was able to access the emoji dialog with NVDA + ;, but at first thought it didn't do anything as it didn't get focused, but decided to change the shortcut to NVDA + E anyway. Overall, this is awesome.
#48 diamondStar
Yes For the first time it may open the dialog but might not get focused. Don't know why it happens anyway.

O that's why? I was gonna say it magically appeared? Because when I opened the emote menu it suddenly popped up. Idk it's weird. But seems to be available right now at least.
#50 thedominator
Yeah, that happend to me to.

Is it possible to enable multi letter navigation in the emoji menu?
#52 diamondStar
I'll se if I could add that. Thank you for your suggestion :)

What if you rebound to NVDA+windows+period? Should that work on all the keyboards or would it have the same issue? And question, I haven't installed this add-on yet. Does it also let us select skin tones and male/female/neutral varients as the Windows one does, except Windows doesn't actually give us the neutral one sometimes? Where you have ZWJ sequences and they're joined with a male or female sign.

One more question. Is there any way you can think of to have it type the emoji rather than just copying them? I understand doing this in a completely separate window would be hard at minimum, so it might have to dismiss and then type. But there is some function to send unicode input, yes?

I think doing this would be hard, Especially the library I'm using does not provide the unicode for this emoji I believe from what I've seen.

I'm thinking of changing it to NVDA + period.

Definitely can't do that, NVDA+dot and NVDA+shift+dot are used by the laptop keybord layout to do character review. And yes it does provide the Unicode of the emoji in question, else how could you copy it? All I mean by typing Unicode in this case is some function that lets you send completely arbitrary character sequences to the OS, rather than something you could type on a regular keyboard.

Copying is a different thing, Because the add-on displays the emojis as normal emojis, And when it copys them it copys the emoji as presented, Not unicode haracters. That's why I'm not sure how to access unicode characters of the emojis.
