What Does It Mean for you When Your Conscience Bothers you?

I'm a lawyer and a politician. There are those lawyers and politicians who have a financial interest in their activities. But everything I do, I do to help others, to bring kindness to this cruel world. But I think that this is not connected with conscience. Because helping others is the norm, everything else is a deviation from the norm.
My view of conscience is religious. I'm an Orthodox Christian, and I would not like to write a long post about this, but many Orthodox fathers write very clearly about what conscience is.

I wouldn't say I'm outraged when someone does it. If you are talking about your own case, it's very hard not to rage. Most of that rage is coming from that typical team spirit. You know, when someone starts and everyone continues, because they feel like being in a big team. And if you rage with them, you feel like belonging somewhere.
I saw this behavyor a lot of times now among russians and it's just their mentality. I'm not saying they are bad people, it's just how they behave and the exact behavyor is bad, not the ones doing it.
