when I attempt to install latest youtue, it gives me an error: ELTEN dialog Script 'Program{eapi}' line 72: NoMethodError occurred.

Probably meant 1.07. That's at least what I see here. And for me the installation has been working so I'd try it again.

So, if things even, okay, I think it's working. So, I don't have the beta, but, um, for those who, well, me personally, I'm wondering, like, where can I actually get the beta versions of, or is it even like the downloads thing? So, I'll be recording.

You mean you're trying to get the beta? I think the way of trying to get the... You can get the betas on changing the... changing the... You go to your settings on the tools menu and you have to change the updates branch to beta and then you're starting to receive beta versions. After that, if you want to make it go for all branches, you just put it to use default and then it will update from beta, RC and stable. That's how you can get the beta the easiest way.

If you export your user data, I think it should also include all the forum posts you have posted on all groups.
And all Poles you have answered

I hope you are aware you already mentioned that multiple times and it won't help or make it faster, for example here:

Suggestion, I wonder if you can add poles and form post to your export data please.
thanks.

I know that developing needs fine. It would be fine if we would had to wait two or three months. But now, it's half a year passed and still there are silly bugs like that you can't export your user data two times. I feel like this beta is just an answer to that some users were saying they would go to iniciate legal steps and to let them be quiet, and now development is inactive again. This is not supposed to be a bashing post since I by myself know how much effort developing takes and this on a thousands kb sized code base. But what is so difficult in fixing a bug which can be fixed with 30 lines of code or probably less? I see in Polish forums that the website is being rewritten and I'm ninety nine percent sure that are more lines than a short bugfix would take. Can we please get a status report and not back this silence we get every time we report a bug, suggest something or ask questions (at least in 95% of the time)?
I don't even mind if there are still the same bugs in exporting, no polls, blogs, forum articles etc. But it's a tough situation when people who want to leave are bound to a bugfix of a few lines of code which hasn't appeared in half a year.

I'm pretty sure this program will be exported to the website, so w only have the elten.link site and no more client.

I'm pretty sure you have no idea what you're talking about. But hey I think we both have the same knowledge on that matter, 0.
Yeah I could've also just ignored this but idk.

yup

The Elten support add-on for NVDA2025.1 is incompatible.

#36

That's because of the fact that there is a new version of NVDA.

#37

So, that means the add-on will have to be updated, and that was his point.

I may paste Elten's privacy policy here. Unfortunately, it's not GDPR-conform as you have a right to export your data, which is not present in such a way as required. There are also other issues.
- GDPR requires stating the legal basis for each type of data processing (Art. 6). GDPR (Art. 13) requires naming the data controller and their contact information. GDPR requires specifying how long personal data is kept (Art. 13(2)(a)).
- The policy should list rights like: Right to access (Art. 15), right to rectification (Art. 16), right to object (Art. 21), and right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77)
- Using Amazon SNS involves data transfer to a third country (e.g., the US). GDPR requires information on safeguards (e.g., SCCs or adequacy decisions) when personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA.
- Under Article 20 GDPR (Right to Data Portability): Users have the right to receive their personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and to transmit it to another service.
- Under Article 15 (Right of access) and Article 20 (Right to data portability) of the GDPR, users have the right to access their data at any time upon request, export their data in a structured, machine-readable format and make multiple requests, not just one. There is no legal basis in the GDPR that allows a service to limit data export to once or to allow the function to be broken for months without action.
- Under Article 17 of the GDPR (Right to Erasure, aka "Right to be Forgotten"), users have the legal right to: “Obtain from the controller the erasure of personal data concerning them without undue delay.”
EltenLink fails to offer basic GDPR compliance around user data deletion. UODO (Poland) or any EU authority can force full deletion features and impose penalties.
I've researched with AI, yes. And yes, I'm a minor and can't really go to courth. But any others can. And the facts are true as they are. This software exists since 11 years, and it's very sad that it isn't privacy conform even though it tries to state so.

Privacy Policy of the EltenLink portal
This document provides a detailed description of the data collected by the EltenLink portal and how it is used by the administration.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the administration directly through the portal or by e-mail
support@elten.link

The data collected are:
Log files and security backups
As part of the scope of maintenance of services related to the EltenLink portal, server event logs and security backups are collected.
The event logs allow us to reproduce errors and problems related to the operation of the services, to protect EltenLink against hacking attacks and similar incidents. They do not contain any private data, in particular passwords or content posted on Elten, but only basic information about the operation of the services (protocols used, web browser or client version, IP address, ID of the service they refer to).
Security backups are used in case of server failure. They contain a detailed record of the database allowing the portal to be restored in the event of a failure. All backup copies placed outside the portal server, especially in external cloud services, are encrypted.
User data
The only private information required by the EltenLink portal is an e-mail address. No personal information (such as name) is required for registration.
Users within the EltenLink portal can complete their profile by providing data such as:
* first and last name
* gender
* date of birth
* place of residence
However, these profiles are filled out voluntarily and are not collected during the registration process. Users can hide the profile from people outside of their contact list, and delete this information at any time.
As an additional layer of security, users can activate two-factor authentication, which uses the mobile phone number in the process of logging into the portal, sending the verification code by SMS message on the first such attempt from a new device. This is an optional functionality. The phone numbers collected in this way are not used for any purpose unrelated to two-factor authentication.
In the above process, the mobile number data is transmitted via the Simple Notification Service to Amazon.
Other
Other data collected by EltenLink includes only that provided by users within the platform. EltenLink does not collect any statistics from third parties.
Cookies Policy
The EltenLink portal does not use cookies with the exception of the automatic login service.
Ways of using data
By administration
Data collected by the administration and moderation of the portal is related to the need to maintain order, which includes the identification of users posting inappropriate content on the forums, so-called spam, insulting others or otherwise violating the terms of use.
The data processed includes the IP address, computer ID and other personally identifiable information.
By newsletter
The so-called Newsletter, i.e. information on news, warnings and other administrative notifications relating to the operation of the EltenLink website, may be sent to the e-mail address used during registration.
By other parties
EltenLink does not pass on the data it collects to any other entities.
It does not use third-party analytical tools or advertising services.
Data not processed by the administration
The portal administration does not process, read or review sensitive data posted on the portal (with the exception of those posted above), in particular private messages and notes.
The EltenLink portal does not collect any activity that is not necessary for its operation, i.e. any actions performed by the user locally.
Deletion of data
All personal data, in particular the user profile, can be deleted by using the appropriate options. In case of any problems, please contact the administration.
Data necessary for the operation of the service will not be deleted: forum posts, IP addresses, usernames.
