Ability to connect external Wordpress blog you own directly into Elten's blogs system

I was thinking, it would be a good idea to be able to connect a Wordpress blog you may have that's hosted outside of Elten, say for example on Wordpress itself, and still be able to manage the whole thing from Elten's blog system.
This would be useful as at the minute, there are 2 G4p blogs, the one I set up on Elten, and another that my friend Norman set up on Wordpress. It would be cool if me and Norman could just set things up where we could just connect it to Elten and once I'm on the site as an admin, I could contribute to it and it would show up for you guys to view from within the blogs section of Elten.

Sounds like a great idea.

Yeah, because Norman posts a lot of updates on the G4p blog he set up, and there was a time when I would try and like mirror things from one blog to the other, but that was a lot of work, and it would just be cool to have one thing.

Due to the Elten wordpress modifications and tonns of the probably conflicting plugins it will not be possible.

It would be very difficult. I considered it many times, but list of possible issues is very long.
One option that I considered when implementing Wordpress was to store blogs as separate Wordpress instances, giving users freedom to install their own plugins, themes etc. All those blogs would have only one additional plugin for communicating with Elten.
But since blogs are one of the least popular options of Elten, it would be too much of a work compared to the effect.
And hosting blogs from completely different servers? Possible with a dedicated plugin, but likely very laggy with all requests between servers. What's New already has problems due to Wordpress poor optimization, and all that when stored locally.
Shoot for the Moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.

Hmm, I do think it would be cool to try various methods of achieving it though, I'd be happy to test things and feed back. Maybe there could be a dedicated plugin that people would install on their site which does it, and this plugin would be made available either in the plugin repo of Wordpress or as a download for self import, You'd be surprised how many blogs there are and how frequently they get updated, yeah mine has been quiet for a while but I've seen a bunch ofothers in the recently and frequently updated blogs lists, so I definitely think this would get used a lot if people could do this.
