Um, I don't really get the point of that topic now?

The rules talk about no misspelling and grammatical errors, and yet look at the amount of misspelling and grammatical issues in it...
And it also completely goes with the rule about discrimination! Not...

I mean just think of how badly the incorrect spelling rule will affect our friend Arctic Moon!

@3 has it. The rules themselves are fine but there are a few aspects of it that are absolutely hilarious to me. So yes, they are mostly well-written but the grammar and sentence structure is just weird. That's not a problem in of itself, it does, however, when you go out of your way to include a rule regarding spelling and grammar.
Then the rule regarding vague topic titles. We're not going to ask that you change the title or perhaps change the title ourselves, nope. We're just going to delete your thread no matter how many posts are in there without warning.
And lastly, the sections regarding punishments seems kinda nebulous to me. Maybe someone could explain it to me better?
But yeah. 7 out of 10. Fairly rational rules, just a bit hilarious and perhaps a bit hypocritical in some aspects.
P.S. I didn't talk about everything because I can't be bothered RN.

The rules translated Djsenter, who lives in England already for more than 10 years. But thanks for the criticism, now what we are only missing is proof and citations about what to correct.

The first post makes no sense. If you have any objections to the new rules, feel free to put it here but clearly say what's wrong.
@3 if you see any misspelled words in these rules, show me. I consulted with the DJSenter who redacted is. He live in England more than 5 years and For most of his life he attended an English school, so i think that he was the best from our team to completely redact this rules.
@4: What you mean by meaning it? Show some examples.
@5:
"it does, however, when you go out of your way to include a rule regarding spelling and grammar. "
We never said that we will ban users for one misspelled word or grammar mistake. We are humans. We write here "Please avoid" not, said that if someone do some mistakes we will ban him or give the warn. Yep, sure, we will give the warn if Someone will do this repeatedly or their posts will be unreadable because of the constant lack of punctuation.
We don't wanna hase noone for some errors because most of us isn't natives, so it's normal that someone can write something incorrect. With this point we just want to draw attention to the problem and ask that we try to write as correctly as we can.
Need example? Sure. I'm it. I certainly make a lot of grammatical errors myself, but I am not a native speaker and I try to write as correctly as I can. :)
@5:

Remember that regulations are not retroactive, so any topics created before we published it will not be removed. However, we reserve the right to correct the names of certain.
@5:
And lastly, the sections regarding punishments seems kinda nebulous to me. Maybe someone could explain it to me better?
What don't you understand? Tell and i will try explain.

Not to mension, dash's grammar is not the best either, or can we have bad grammar in thread names or posts just nothing other than pro spelling though. I get it, really. But the way this is put into place is, funny.

Above all, it is about misspelled words because later it is more difficult to use the search engine.

I am aware that there might be some errors in the rules which I haven't noticed, so please feel free to bring them up either here or message me privately and we'll sort it out, it's really not a problem. Let's not exaggerate, the rules ask to avoid or be considerate of certain aspects, not state that you will be banned for making a typo or something, just try and be mindful of how you're writing on the forums.
Also Tunmi, in which way do the rules discriminate against anyone? That's a serious claim and I really hope you can back it up, because asking to be mindful of misspelled words and other errors in order to improve the reading experience of users should be the priority of all members, in no way is it meant to discriminate anyone.
Lastly Marchoffman, please read posts more carefully, since Dasz said it himself that his grammar is not the best, so you are not contributing anything new to the discussion. We're not expecting perfectionism, so please read the rules again if you are unsure about anything and of course, feel free to ask questions, we'll happily clarify any point.
Edit:
I noticed a few mistakes I made, fixed them already.

Sorry but marhoffman? At least try to check how I'm spelled before targeting me. Yeah but how can you have a spelling/grammar rule if you yourself as admin would have bad grammar for example? Please explain.

See, this is what I was talking about. Simple typos happen and we're not saying that you will be banned for them, just edit them and generally try to avoid them, it's really not a lot to ask for. I am sorry for my typo, I will edit it as well. That's what that feature is for. No need to be so aggressive.

Said before. It says avoid. No "Not allowed", just Avoid.

And i don't want to repeat it again.

It shouldn't exist at all especially considering spell checking is a paid feature on this product.
I'll write all my concerns later when I have the time and patience. Like I said the rules are fine, some aspects of it are just funny to me.

Noone said you must use the spellchecker exactly here. There are a lot of addons available for NVDA, in word, etc.

Not everyone has NVDA, and plus in word? By word the platform no one is going to put there message through word to verify it.

Personally i also think that making Spellcheck as a paid feature makes no sense.

As well as using markdown. Yes. Agreed. There are a lot of ways to spellcheck though, one of them is finally learning to write at school, especially if the person is a native english speaker. I'm ashamed of the fact that while my grammar can contain a few mistakes, I'm proud of my spelling. And I'm not even a native speaker.

With all due respect, this thread is a cesspool of degeneracy and stupidity. It's almost as though you guys want the admins to resign.. Make your points respectfully, calmly, and with civility, or don't make them. That goes for everyone here, including certain members of the staff. Are you going to look back on this topic in ten years, and think - "time well spent"?
I resent the rule about spelling, ftr. I resent the absurd response a little more, I think. Wolfy, out.
