Btw I was also thinking about making my own media center program which would support wide range of audio and video formats, streaming services, search with voice and what is more important, could be controlled with just a remote with four arrows and several extra buttons such as back, home, play and pause and maybe two more.
I was thinking about Kodi but modern kodi is not accessible anymore.
I have a tv box with shitty old android tv 9 and it continues to spoil my mind with annoying ads in system UI. because this is xiaomi and this is their old politics with ads in the system interface.

I want to replace renova music

Actually, it would be interesting to pckage that thing, when it's done, onto a linux distro and run it on that. Could imagine this beeing really nice for older pcs or a raspberry pie. Well, i plan to write it in python so should not be a problem.

If needed, I can send my version to you in private. Yes it's python ang huge as hell, and it won't be comrfortable if you aren't familiar with command line programs, but it does its task.

just ask chat gpt to build a wx gui around it(careful to include wx because if not it will try using tkinter)and boom.

Of course, I've already built stuff that way but to be honest I wanted this converter in a rush so I thought it's going to be easier for the AI to build a command line app instead. Since then I didn't change anything because I feel comfortable using it in command line.

I think I should be fine as long as I can figure out all the commands, though a wx gui is more preferable though

I'd rather use dotnet for that. For some media features you will need some very responsive algorithms that would work just faster on csharp.

Btw WX would add another bunch of megabytes to your packaged program.
So for such task cli is better.
