If you want to turn everything into a battle, well, this is your backyard. We try to act and help, but if it's going to look like this, we may not react because there's no point.

From now on, I will only talk substantively about methods to improve the situation of the English-speaking community. If you intend to continue insulting me or each other, such entries will be deleted, at least from threads that concern this community, because I intend to have a substantive conversation, not play kindergarten.

I agree with your last suggestion, you should stop contributing. Throw shade and insinuate we're childish or whatever else you said that I don't give a fuck enough about to go back and reread if you want, but you're the one who's deleting posts here for seemingly no other reason than you not being in agreement with their contents. That's far more childish than anything else said or done in this thread thus far, and yes, I'm even including Simter in that.

At this point a new community may be better, if we're going to battle over adminship with a guy who's response is to delete posts and call us all the problem. And let me be clear, this community has it's share of problematic individuals. I'm not contesting that. But you're proving yourself to be one of them.

A lot of naivety about the lack of consent. I don't have the slightest opinion on this subject because I don't know you. I'm not a user of Audiogames or similar places, and if that's what it looks like there, I'm very happy about it. I form my opinion only based on what you write. I know virtually none of you, including Sir-Charlie, so I'm eager to hear all perspectives.

No one was fighting. It's crossing into that territory now because you decided to flex your internet muscles, so the only one to blame for that sort of downward progression is you.

We weren't. We were having a respectful, if slightly barbed, conversation, and you deleted it. That's when it became a fight. A fight to make sure my voice was heard. A fight to show that I'm not going to sit here and let my posts be deleted willy nilly. A fight to say we had a conversation, you don't get to say it was an insulting or bad one. I'd ask you to site examples of insults, but you deleted the posts, so you can't.

And as i said before, i say it once again. I for my part will not candidate as admin anymre. Not on a platform owned by a person that thinks it is ok to just delete posts that don't match the narrative/bring unwanted discussion(or as you call it, fight) into a topic. Have fun charlie, but i won't recomend you doing this either.

Ok, can I ask what your discussion was about before it was deleted? Maybe it's a good point of restoring the conversation to it's original purpose. To what extend was it revolving around this poll and topic and what was it trying to achieve? Let's establish that, then maybe we can talk about what this community needs, instead of arguing back and forth.

I'm not sure what happened after I left, but the fact you even went as far as to delete the posts up to Simter's first one condeming the act of deleting the posts is really, really bad form IMO. I don't know what happened after that point but the posts that were written by myself, Karmien and Galactic Empire were perfectly reasonable and respectable. I'm not sure in any universe where such posts like that would be deemed as unacceptable but you do you.
So nobody will have any idea of what happened in this thread, nobody will be able to take away any conclusions from it because you decided, arbitrarily, that our posts were attacking despite not a single personal attack or jab being included, and despite the posts discussing the poll.
Why didn't you create another thread and move iit over there instead of erasing history like that, or perhaps if you wanted the thread to go a certain way why not make that crystal clear in your opening post? The impression I, and most people got was this was a thread to examine the questions and the responses together as a community. Flat out making me the admin was one such thing raised in the poll and Karmien, though I disagree with the points raised brought it forward.

Well, different people have different perspectives and principles and that is normal. The assumption on many forums is that if a offensive comment is made, the entire discussion is deleted and people are asked to reopen it in a polite manner. And this is the strategy I used.
I have also seen posts being left or, in fact, deleted with a summary attached or hidden under a spoiler. Strategies are different and my pursuit of order at all costs does not necessarily have to be the one that will be accepted in this group.
However, this is not a reason to attack me or anyone personally.

Used to be quite popular on portals like 4programmers. Also Polish Elten Community adopted this strategy, and to be clear, I am not a moderator there and I have no intention of being one.

What you don't see is that I'm just trying to get it into someone else's hands as quickly as possible.
If it weren't for the fact that nuno69 has become completely unreachable and half of the moderators have been inactive for many months or years, I would never have intervened here at all. I don't feel comfortable moderating anything at all and have given all of these responsibilities to other people for many years now.
