So my desktop, of course, *sigh* had McAffee preinstalled. I don't have a mouse rn though, kinda thought I didn't need it I tried using the McAffee remover tool and honestly, good solution. Problem is, when I have to enter characters seen in a picture. My question is, if there's another way of uninstalling this, I heard of a command you can enter into the terminal but that didn't work either. I can see some characters but problem is this input field can't be accessed with tab, shift tab or the ocr recognission. Is there another way to set the nvda focus on this hidden input field so I make sure what I type in lands there and I can press next?

I want to uninstall that two on my laptop but I can't because I need cited help to.

I had to get sighted help to remove it. You're fresh out of luck. Can't you borrow a mouse from someone or somewhere?
All that I survey, I could easily destroy. From time to time, it is important to remind these small creatures of the true extent of my power.

Just ask someone to help you. It is possible, but its very difficult and as a blind person, you are not able to uninstall the complete product, just some components.

That's actually what I did, glad their apple mouse worked, it really was old as heck, including an old mac desktop lol

Lol yes but how would people be supposed to ask for help? If you read the thread, I didn't have a mouse at that time and sighted folks can't do something without it anymore.

The only way is reinstalling windows, which you should really do anyway when you get a new laptop or desktop because it removes all the other blote that comes with the computer as well.

Only problem with reinstalling Windows is that it can remove things like the network driver, which some computers need as they require specific stuff for the network to function.

That's not really an issue anymore because windows can download drivers for you with windows update. at least, that's what it did for me

Alright so what I did for uninstalling this, is either delete the installed program folder, or like turn on narator it sometimes helps with inaccessible dialogs

Only thing is it'll still appear in the programs list as if it was installed. Have done that with idk what, some installable game once and it bothered in the apps list but couldn't take it out lol

So there is this thing called geek un installer, its basically pretty useful but idk if its actualy able to skipp this McAffee uninstalling screen. Just cuz we are speakingabout uninstalling stuff, because its basically killing all rests of the program too.

#15

That's, interesting. Is it to remove last bits or just an alternative uninstalling version for some programs
McOi

#16

Basically both, it has the installed program list and then it firstly uninstalls it and also removes last bits and stuff. Check attachment.

#17

Now I don't wanna try reinstalling McAfee, so someone who might get it quickly and is ready to experiment, let's go and test maybe

#18

lmfao. But you also can uninstall other programs so, yeah.

#19

that's just a shortcut, it'lltell you thats not gonna work but yeah
