What is a good zip and unzip program for Windows? I tried WinZip, but there some unlabeled elements and it was just confusing. Thanks.

I use 7Zip with some success. There have been some changes to it but it seems to still be usable.

I installed 7zip, but the contekstmenu that was showing up before doesn't pop up anymore, jow to fix this?
And that, is why you shouldn't do this.

#8

You now have to use the manager thing to open files or do anything to them. The context menu is gone, unfortunately.

Than fuck 7zip
And that, is why you shouldn't do this.

Hey, at least it's doable. Just open the file manager in the 7zip folder start menu thing, then open the file you want, or unzip it, whatever. It isn't the end of the world, I promise.

The context menu integration is still available. Open 7-Zip file manager, goto Extras menu and select Options. Go to the 7-zip tab and check if context menu options are selected. Tested with latest available version 18.05. If this doesn't work, try to start 7-zip in administrator mode and repeat all steps.

Ah, got the latest version, and thanks. The context menu thing is already set by default in this version, yay!

Now, if only they had a check for updates thing in help or somewhere, that would be ideal. The new version rocks so far!

ok nice, and yes, using the file manager just sucks.
And that, is why you shouldn't do this.

#15

It wasn't my favorite way to interact with the program but I got used to it till the new version made it unnecessary.
