Hey! Tell please for what player do you need subtitles? If we are talking about podplayer you can enable built-in option to read subtitles via sapi tts or output them to the window title. for vlc i do not know actually, but remember that some people have made it working somehow.

it's actually for a webside, not a player, I don't know, I tryed to use that player, but I couldn't keep up with it. Looks too complicated, well I think so...
