Get rid of tab tab tab spam in Facebook Messenger

Aproximately a week ago Facebook Messenger started a "tab spam" on every line in every conversation. I do not know about JAWS users but NVDA users may suffer from this issue.

Despites that I am from Russia I also use Messenger almost every day so I have made a small Tamper Monkey extension that helps anyone with removing this tab spam.

You can find the script and installation instructions here:

Jaws users suffer as well, as far as I'm aware. They say they have a different solution, but about the method itself I don't know.

Arctic Moon, as i think, JAWS users suffer always :D
So i am not surprised with the fact that they suffer now :D :D :D

its not fare to say people deserve it just because they use a screen reader that you dont like. that's dum

If you prefer arguments, i can provide a lot of them.
1. Jaws uses much much more cpu and ram than NVDA does. it is axiom and can be proofed on any computer. especialy very cheap or old computers still can run modern windows with modern nvda but modern jaws will lead them to the overheat or eternal lagging.
2. as a developer i can say that nvda has more predictable and deterministic behavior. it has a wide documentation for users and for addon developers. jaws also has documentation but it looks like a brief notes about functions and for a developer this is just kind of hell.
3. while nvda in the arms of average-skilled user can work with lots of applications, jaws always needs crutches. script for player, script for unigram, script for game, script for reaper, script for everything just to stop jaws from intercepting keys and gestures.
4. jaws really sucks if you want to write code. try to use visual studio code with jaws and with nvda. it is like comparing hell and heaven. nvda wins dicessively!
5. jaws completely lacks support of touchscreens.

that's all.

Fully agreed with Cyrmax. The reason why I didn't provide any arguments is the fact that I was in a hurry, but unfortunately these are the sad facts of Jaws.
I used it in my childhood, when I was introduced to computers, it was the first ever screen reader I've ever heard. I can say I was forced to change to NVDA, because when I was 16, I got a Dell laptop, on which Jaws lagged so much after 5 minutes of use that I seriously got enough. No wonder, NVDA worked smoothly.
ZDSR I've also tried, but there's an annoying bug with multi language synths that as a native hungarian, it's a pain to use. And it's a paid program anyway, I don't know if I was a developer, I'd allow myself such bugs to happen.

Seems they already fixed this tap spam.

First, I agree with Khalil. Second though, I agree with all of your Jaws arguments and sadly they're true. Why even bother with something unrelyable. But what he was trying to say is that you don't need to go on anyone for using that screenreader, not the right place.

I think yes :)
BTW this script is really universal because i can change only the domain part in metadata and it will work in VK messenger too :D

and I'm saying this as someone who dont like jaws

Sometimes i just forget about readmes. and sometimes they are not needed just because i write the code for myself and if someone wants to use it, it is their problem :D

and yes, it is me, Kirill Belousov. You could see me in TifloGames community.
