Halloween. What do you think about it?

Basically the title, no idea what to write here? Haha.
I've never been a big fan of his, but I love reading horror stories.
Well, not only on halloween as I like horror stuff, but, I have the tendency to search for them more on this date.
I'm going to tell you an embarrassing storry if we are at it.
When I was 11 , my classmates...we were, basically me and 2 boys in my class as it was,, and still is as it's still having kids studying there, a small village school, and well, they decided to play scary sounds, and pretend we had monsters there in the school, etc. It was halloween too. They used to hide their phone in random places with videos with a longer silence at the beginning and then screams etc, so yeah, it had its effect.
And sure you wonder, where was the teacher? And yeah, no it wasn't on a break lol.
The math teacher had no idea what pappers to complete, so, as we were only few kids, who seemed normal and quiet, he didn't supervise us and was with the other teachers.
That year was the one I had started to have more access to internet as before, supervised, and my innocence and stupidness weren't that broken, so I used to believe in almost everything you told me. Even I used to believe in Santa Claus untill the exact same year, ironically lol.
Add to it I was the only blind person of the class and school in general, so, it was more easier.
I had like a week or more of sleeping with the door of the room open after it :D
And then another week because I've read no idea where that if you have cats and if you die they will eat your eyes, but again, storry for another day rofl.

Its a waste of time and energy. Besides, just a few days before or after in my country we have Devali which fulfils the same purpose, just with a better message. IE, getting sweets, while having a good message. That is, good over darkness

Here in south africa, halloween is more about having a party and dressing up. Nothing religious or anything like that. I did go to a halloween ball at my school dressed as a witch. There were smoke machines and a DJ playing music. I did get a bit bored but at least I won a chocolate. So that's been my only experience. Otherwise it doesn't matter to me either way.

so yesterday, we were required to do a trunk or treat at school, where you just sit down in your trunk or in a chair, and pass out candy to the little kids, wasn't a fan.

Nah I'm to grown out of it tbh. That is my basic answer. I don't really get the point. Even audio plays and movies are better than that weird clothing you may dress yourself in. Besides, sadly we don't see it anyway so what's the point?

Some people believe the devil has more power on Halloween, but, as for me, my Christian faith is such that I can believe the devil only has power if one lets him have it. Therefore, I can take or leave Halloween. My wife has no liking for it so we don't do anything to celebrate it. I do, however, have fond memories of past celebrations elsewhere. Do I miss it? No.

If we are already into christianity, I can tell you that even if he has more power, or should have, its not enough. Nothing is more powerful than god. But that isn't the topic

Meh nonsense. I doubt there's a set and specific day for the multiverse to be like, hmm, hmm, Satan, you get to e more powerful today. Go nuts

i am really only in it for the candy, and occasionally dressing up in the crazyest costume i can find.

Last time I gave out candy, but otherwize if I am in the mood I like the trick or treating. That being said I'm 12 and that may change soon.
