What is the hardest thing for you about being blind?

there are kind of many things, some effect me and some not at all. And some things arn't actually even bad, would be interesting to know, though. Sometimes i'd wish i could see into peoples eyes. Ya know, sighted people can tell sometimes what goes on with the person then. Like if the person lies, if the person is sad, or anything else. Usually that works also by listening carefully to the voice but some people like me could hide it quite well. I learned to adjust my voice a lot to normal if i have problems, but i can't hide my eyes sometimes. Another bad thing about my parents. They have seen people which are youtubers and are blind, and they impressed them so much and i often felled like they want me to be like them, but this is a mistake and i don't like it, though luckely that didn't happen recently. Otherwise, i'd need to think. O yeah, another one. I hate using canes, but i love being guyded. I some what like it and call me weired people, but i have a guessing why i may like it. It could be possibly boddy contact, which is kind of important to me sometimes, and that doesn't directly has to do with loving someone, gf or anything else but i guess it feels better. And using a cane makes me not have that, plus i hate its loud noise. Guess that is the thing about me. And about the video game thing, gosh, don't care so much about these people and then you're actually good to go. Not a big deal to me.

I like to be guided as well, not only for the physical contact but it's far safer, especially if the sighted guide has a lot of experience and knows to be aware of the person he/she is guiding.

What is hard is when a guide isn't experienced and tells me step up, step down, turn right or left, when I get my cues from holding onto the elbow, or just above, and those prompts are completely unnecessary.

sadly some stupid people think you have to hold the guyde on their elboe otherwise it is bad or some stupid shit. Sorry but i hate that lol

But those prompts are meant to help you and the guide's one and only fault is to be inexperienced, which is not his/her fault in fact. How many blind people may (s)he have guided throughout his/her life?

When it is explained to them why I hold on and that they're in front of me, and I can get my cues from how they turn and how they step, they still do what i said, just, ugh.

Just to be clear, I never chastise someone for doing this, I just wish they'd listen when matters are explained to them. If they choose not to, then I don't take it any further.

Hi, the hardest part for me is that people always judge you, like,
Oh, he's blind, so he can't do this, he's blind so he can't do that.
You have to keep proving yourself again and again And i don't think that will change quickly.
Greetings!

Real. And people asking people near you, does he/she needthis, does he/she need that. ETC. Like bro, I can talk...

when people do that to me I like messing with them. the following is an exerpt from what the conversation following looks like. antagonest: (usually to someone near by. my mom, a sighted friend ETC) "uh, does he need, *insert name of item or support system.* me:" yes, i would like that. thank you" antagonist: (slightly surprised at this point that the blind one can speak.) "oh, I'm sorry. I was talking to..." me: (mischievously smiling) "oh oh. I'm sorry. I forgot to alert you to the fact that i turned my ears on for a moment. don't you know us blindys can do that?"
over and out. I stand with the people of Palestine

Haha, nice one. I should try this next time if it'll ever happen again and will see what happens

I always make fun of such people by answering in third person, like yes he does, and would be nice if you could acknowledge his presence in the room by speaking to him directly :)

Yeah exactly the same. I sometimes even say my own name if it's in the question. Like does Niki want some food, what do you think? Yes, Niki happily accepts, but asks to talk to her straight.

Heheh. I did use 3rd person as well sometimes. Luckily it never really happened much here though.

If such thing happens, I directly interject myself into the conversation, eg. if they ask "does he want x or why or what's his name?" I say I want this or that, or my name is Fatih etc.
Then most of the time they begin to talk to me instead of the prson acompanying me.
