What is the hardest thing for you about being blind?

Don't worry Daniel, hungarian girls are just the same :D
"As I watch this generation try to rewrite history, one thing I'm sure of is that it will be misspelled and have no punctuation."

hm: it's the same everywhere.
#43 railwayguy
What do you expect in a crooked and twisted society!
#44 danielsalatek
you're right, i'm looking for some girl who i know her from klango.. her name is marie lampe she comes from westfalia in germany, some months ago, i've added a threat called i'm looking for somebody related to my looking for, but it fell apart, mary is no where, klango had crashed, her skype is off... so, my hands are tied up.
#45 hozosch
Oh well. I'd better not say anything concerning me, to not make you jealous. I mean, I don't have a relationship going on, but I can easily arrange a meeting if I've got the time.
#46 railwayguy
The same here and I am happy! Just let it stay that way!
#47 danielsalatek
ok, and where i can ask for help? is there any organization in germany?

oh my gosh you are so right!
--Cytat (railwayguy):
The hardest thing for me of being blind is this:
I have no problem of living with my blindness. I was born that way so I have never known it differently. But what irritates me the most is how other people are viewing blind people. Usually, they are always giving the impression that, as a blind person, you can not think, you can not walk, you can not talk, you can nothing; and as it is not enough, they spread that kind of impression to others. In many cases, when someone is accompanying me somewhere, they always are having the intention to ask questions to the person who is accompanying me, as if I am not able to talk to them. I'm asking myself, Is this something that they were taught at their schools to do it that way, I don't know; but what I do know is, that it is really annoying me and that they better should stop this silly way of teaching people this kind of teaching and reasoning.
Other than that, I have no problem living with my blindness if people would just be different.

I wish I could drive. I hate bugging people if I want to go somewhere. I also wish I could know what people look like. I'm curious. Sorry you said one. I gave two. oops?
#50 Zuzler
I haven't done it on my own yet but some of my friends did. I mean, when someone talks to their guide instead of talking to them, they interrupted it in a very nice way. E.g.:
Someone: Can you tell me if he can send me an email?
Guide: Yes.
Someone: Can he do it before saturday?
The blind: Yes he can do it and he even can speak.

I dont know, But I can give a accurate description of someone by their voice. The whole asking my frend, Can he see is bloody annoying. A. Helllo! I'm right here! Last night I fucked with my stepdad's backwoods family by walking up some very, Seemingly dangerous stairs by myself. They were like, how the fuck you come up here by yourself without falling? I told him, I have a little sight, I can hold the wall for a guide, and my feet can be used as a cane. He had a pretty flabbergasted expression. Or so my stepdad says. The hardest part for me is being discussed about like I'm some kind of labrat.

To songbird:
I like bugging people but I hate begging people.
To zuzler: You even took it a step further than I did!
#53 danielsalatek
hello guys, driving a car, hm hm, experts say, that within 10 years, selfdriving autonomous cars would be a normal transport, so, i don't have a fear.
#54 railwayguy
Yes, but it will always remain an expensive affair!
#55 danielsalatek
yeah, you're right, but within some times when it will be established on the markets, the price will go down, i hope that.
#56 NashKelvinator
Self driving cars are more depressing for me. I will still feel dependence. Check out dennis' hong's car for the blind. If they mas-produce those, I'll get one.
#57 nikolai
I don't see blind people being encouraged to use self driving vehicles for a long, long while. I feel like companies figure it would be a PR disaster if a blind person were out on the road, and coincidentaly crashed, and it became a public matter that would stunt all of their efforts. I wouldn't want to be the spokesperson having to deal with that perticular situation. That being said though, I think that using a driverless car would be absolutely awesome.
#58 NashKelvinator
Check denis hong's car for the blind on youtube. Now, I could get behind that. Blind people actually driving the vehicle. Now, while the car is still instructing them on how to do it, you're still in control. You can cause road rage. You can commit suicide if you're into that shit. Self-Driving cars are just another way the robots are gonna kill us. And their gonna kill alot of us on mass via self-driving cars. Watch and see lol. I wonder if they'll allow blind people to become marsian collonists in about 12 years?
#59 railwayguy
And then there is the matter of insurance! Which insurance company might be willing to cover driver insurance for a blind person.
Also, what authority or government might be willing to hand out a valid driver's licence to a blind person. Many thoughts to think about!
#60 djsenter
Why you think someone would get killed by a self driving car bro? It must be tested like 100 times before the first prototype is out there in the market.
I am pretty sure. Plus, I am a lazy man for example, I would rather blast music and sing along instead of driving;xD
