Hello, everyone. I have created a new topic about sining technique. I'm looking for someone willing to help me to improve my singing technique. Never have I been trained vocally only instrumentally. Feel free to respond. I am enclosing my singing sample. I'm welcome to your suggestions and advice. The song i will enclose is my own composition.
The only suggestion I can make is that you need to be bolder. You have a lovely voice and just need to sing up a bit. Your playing is jazz oriented and therefore the suggestion from bomberman.
No, I sing some gospel, country, easy listening and some random bits. I'm a has-been musician, used to work professionally, when I could find work, which wasn't often. I tuned pianos to survive as well.
Don't practice enough so you strain your voice, but practice enough so that you feel improvement in range, pitch, endurance and such. Daily practice is good, but if you ever notice you're sliding or in a slump, give yourself a break. This is kinda hard but try not to be too hard on yourself. This is something I struggled with for awhile during my career.
Incidentally, I didn't do voice warmups very often, so I'm probably not the best one to ask about this.
Well done, and this song fits your voice, or vice versa, he he! The only thing I can find to suggest for now is to remember to get closer to the mike on lower notes. And, of course, you want to stay centralized when using a stereo mke as in this recording. Again, though, very well done!
