I'm wondering what voices can be installed on Ubuntu bassed Linux as an alternative to ESpeak. For example, in Accessible Coconut, PicoTTS is installed, but Orca can't use it. How can I configure PicoTTS and other multilanguage sintesizers for Orca in Accessible Coconut and any kind of Ubuntu bassed Linux systems?

Probably the voxin packages will work in Accessible Coconut, assuming there are no fundamental changes to the original Ubuntu distribution. Regarding PicoTTS, you might have to uncomment the corresponding line in the speech dispatcher configuration to load the module.

Yes, I have used Voxin in accessible coconut. The new version on blindhelp is broken, I think. But once you get a working version, extract it, chmod the voxin-installer.sh file with sudo chmod +X then once that finishes, cd to the directory with the install file then run ./voxin-installer.sh. You may have to run this as root, I can't remember because I haven't installed voxin in forever.

But Boxin just have English language, there's just an old version which supports other languages but don't know where can I find it.

There is a lack of Arabic voices for Linux, like, seriously. First, it comes with eSpeak, not even eSpeakNG, and eSpeakNG has initial support for Arabic, but it's not good yet. It's still being worked on, but not yet. It's not worth using, because it can't be understood at all. Yeah, and I wish some acapella or vocalizer builds its own TTS for Linux, because even if it's paid, I mean, at least someone would be able to use it. Yeah, that's my opinion on it.

I somehow downloaded the voxin from blindhelp, version 3.3,when it wasn't screwed up. It's on my keybase. The direct download link is [link deleted]
