Hi all. Several years ago, I remember hearing something about recalibrating the home button on an iOS device if you noticed it not responding as fast as it shold. I don't remember how to do this. Does anybody know how to fix your home button to get the snappy respons back you expect?
My wife had an iPhone 8 and she adjusted her home button. I think she went to a heavier touch but I don't know where in settings that is, maybe in VoiceOver?
To calabrate the Home button, open any app and press the Sleep/Wake button until VoiceOver says "Power Off but do not power off. Press and hold the Home button untill you are back at the Home screen. The app you opened before will be closed.
no, that clears ram on iphones and ipads. That may help. If it doesn't, force restart the iPhone. To clear ram on new iPhones with out home buttons, press and then releace the volume up key, then press and then releace the volume down key. Then hold the lock button. Instead of sliding to power off, Turn on assistive touch and access the menu and double tap and hold on the home option.
