Hello. Could someone teach me automation in Reaper? I'm working with Reaper more than a year and I feel confident with lots of its functions and usage, but I didn't clearly find how to work with automation. And seems that new osara did something with it. So if someone could show me a bit would be great. Let's say automate fx parameters such as delay or reverb. Thanks.
I don't have the newest osara. Is the tutorial on reaperaccessibility.com outdated?
It's written not really clear at some parts. I don't know how to change parameter value between envelope points. I just need simply to control delay fx for example to turn on vocal delay automatically in the end of the phrase. It might be that in newest Osara is not working, as it's not updated time ago.
I don't have the latest osara, so shout incase something won't work:
1. move with the parameter which u want to automate
2. highlight the env by pressing ctrl + alt + l
3. select it with alt + l / alt + shift + l
4. shift + e to place points, alt + shift + e to modify them
note: I suggest to change the shape to square if you want instant change and not a linear rise / fade
5. done, it should work
"move with the parameter", but how to do it with keyboard, if I don't have midi controller?
through parameters, press p on the track...
Thank you Tisman, after some practising it worked. Now, is it a way in osara to remove envelope point? Let's say I added it by mistake.
just use alt +k and alt + shift + k to navigate to it, then delete, it should work.
Yeah, thanks. I figured it out. Just in latest osara it's alt +j/alt +k to navigate.
